Long Island
is especially beautiful around this time of the year, when
the days are longer, the winds are calm and the colors out
on the ocean are simple breathtaking. The Bahamian Islands
stand out like sparkling jewels in the aqua seas! Our summer
days are a great opportunity for beach picnic trips, fun
for everyone. One can catch and fry fish, find and make
juicy Conch Salad, snorkel the reefs and explore the thousands
of pristine coves and beaches, a wonderful way to spend
the day with the entire family relaxing and enjoying what
nature has to offer …the kids will LOVE it, young
and old.
The
time is always right for an ice cold Bahamian Kalik Beer
and more enjoyable now on our warm summer days! Toni sure
liking his – just as much as catching his Bonefish!

just Bones on the flats …. a beautiful TARPON catch

The
action also heating up now in our ocean …deep sea
boats bringing in an abundance of Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo, Yellow
Fin Tuna – a fabulous Sailfish was caught 2 days ago,
so lots of activity out in the blue water!
OTHER
ISLAND TID BITS ....ATTENTION ALL PRIVATE PILOTS ...the
Stella Maris Airport repairs are well under way, first layer
of tar is on and completion date is now expected around
July 01st. One more layer of tar is needed and we expect
then an official opening soon after!
Our annual Long Island Regatta begins 02nd. June, when crowds
of Bahamians are once again expected to visit Long Island
for some weekend fun! Bahamian sailing races, fresh Conch
Salad, other native dishes and of course, a cold Kalik is
always a MUST during this family holiday weekend on Long
Island!
