It's been a huge thrill for us, admittedly, to have - among others - Lawrence Fishbourne, John Grisham, and Micheal Keaton fish with us. These are universally famed people, who each in their field have accomplished enormous successes …a high degree of worldwide notice and acceptance of their talents, with long lasting and all-round rewarding and lasting results. When it comes to fishing they know their stuff, too.

We are proud, John, that you fish-vactioned here on our Long Island flats. A big thanks, Michael, for having gone after our Long Island 'Bones' with us twice already. And thank you, too Lawrence, for having spent some easy time on our island, on our Long Island flats, and for having brought some family along too!

Whoever you may be, whatever you may do …when it comes to fishing here, you can let your hair down, rub shoulders with the locals (and all of them know their fishing, too!), fish to your heart's content, and be what you prefer to be, cooling out on the flats and the next corner pub!

David Kelley might be described as living the American Dream, 1990s' style: write a screenplay, move to Hollywood, make millions and marry a movie star. A former Boston lawyer, in the last decade, he switched careers to become a successful television producer whose shows are recognized for their quality as well as receiving top ratings. He is best known as the creator of Picket Fences, Chicago Hope, The Practice, Ally McBeal, Boston Public, Boston Legal and Harry's Law, as well as several films.

Mike Lawson was born and raised in southeastern Idaho, Mike and his wife, Sheralee are both four-generation natives of Southern Idaho. Mike has fished the local trout streams in this part of Idaho all of his life, especially the Henry's Fork. He taught school in St. Anthony for 6 years and worked as a fly-fishing guide during the summer months. Mike and Sheralee also tied flies commercially for many years. In 1977 they opened Henry's Fork Anglers fly shop at Last Chance, Idaho. The shop is a full service fly fishing specialty shop and outfitter with the finest in flies, tackle, outdoor clothing and related items. Mike remains as general manager after selling the business to Mark Rockefeller in 1999. His first book, Fly Fishing the Henrys Fork, was published in June 2000.
